Conference Chairs
Zoran Vojinovic holds positions at IHE Delft (Netherlands), University of Belgrade (Serbia), University of Exeter (UK) and National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan). He currently leads the EC-funded RECONECT project which brings together 37 international partners to demonstrate and upscale innovative large-scale Nature-Based Solutions for hydro - meteorological risk reduction across Europe, Asia, Central and South America and the Caribbean (www.reconect.eu).
Ingwer de Boer was director of the “Room for the River” programme in the Netherlands. He worked closely with administrators from six provinces, 30 municipalities and 8 water boards to implement Nature-Based Solutions at more than 30 locations. The aim of the programme is to provide flood protection and safety along the rivers as well as to enhance spatial quality and biodiversity. The programme is considered as an “exemplary project” for large-scale Nature-Based Solutions.
